London Transport Museum

With a multi-million pound grant to re-develop the London Transport Museum, the LTM asked the team behind Heist to relaunch the museum and help make it one of the top London Visitor Attractions for both families and tourists alike. Given London’s plethora of amazing attractions this was a tough brief if ever we saw one.

Lads, Dads and Geeks

Transport for London is the authority that run London's transport networks including the Red London Bus and The Tube train, and lesser know the London Transport Museum in the centre of Covent Garden.

When we came on board the museum was a bit fusty and mainly attracting geeky grandads and their train obsessed grandsons! However, the museum has much to offer a much wider public including a priceless collection of artwork that has been built up over hundreds of years that visualises the social history of London.

Baked Beans With That?

We introduced a new brand identity utilising one of the most iconic of the London Transports assets the Roundel. This was bought to life in modern materials (such as the London bus seat fabric), expressions (such as Baked Beans on Toast) and in unusual situations (ice cubes in drinks at the launch party).

The New Look

The visual identity was used in all advertising, communication, signage, website and social media. By modernising the London Transport Museum and creating reappraisal of one of its most iconic assets the Roundel this also created huge rea-appraisal for the Museum.

Drop By

The launch was hugely successful and is now a major achieved its objective of becoming a key tourist and locals attraction for families. Drop by and learn more about London's amazing social history through its transport.
